Additional starting combinations: All players are given 4 pocket cards; hence, players have 6x more starting hand-combinations than are available in online Texas Hold'em poker.
Omaha poker is a split-pot game: When a high hand is held and 3 low cards are visible on the board, this will result in the high hand having already lost value. The odds favour a split of the pot amongst the other poker players.
Be aware in early position: Rather play only a few hands from an early position. A few hands might be thrown away but you bankroll and ego will remain intact.
Play synchronized hands: If the first 4 cards you have don't suit up, throw the hand away and rather hold on till a better opportunity presents itself.
Fit or fold: If the flop does not develop or present a strong draw in the hand, your best option is to fold immediately.
The best strategy: Rather play low cards which could have the probability of creating high hands. Choose carefully but by the same token, don't fear an aggressive attitude!
